Purification technology

One system. Five integrated technologies. Pure Air Nova combines a modular Guard stack so treatment can be configured for a room. We describe what is built and being tested, and we write conservatively where evidence is still being gathered.

To protect the design ahead of any patent decision, this page keeps internal geometry, material formulations, and control thresholds confidential and uses public-safe descriptions.

Overview

A modular Guard stack, configured per room

Room air is drawn through a sequence of Guard stages held in a snap-fit cartridge. Some stages are designed to be washed and reused, and the fine-particle media is a replaceable consumable, so owners maintain only what needs maintaining.

The strongest part of the design is the combination: five integrated technologies, a serviceable cartridge, and sensor-driven control working together.

Five integrated technologies

The Guard stack, stage by stage

A conceptual map of how the five technologies surround the sensing core, inspired by the Pure Air Nova product materials.

Sensing core ParticleGuard OdorGuard OxidGuard PhotoGuard Ionization

ParticleGuard

Purpose: Designed to capture airborne particles.

Targets: Dust, pollen, dander, and smoke-related particulate matter.

How it works: Mechanical filtration media, offered in a range of grades. The final filtration grade and replacement schedule will follow validated product specifications.

Service: Fine-particle media is a replaceable consumable.

Confirmed Grade in testing

OdorGuard

Purpose: Designed to address odours and selected gas-phase compounds through adsorption.

Targets: Cooking odours, pet-related smells, and general indoor stuffiness.

How it works: Activated-carbon adsorption that holds odour and VOC molecules.

Service: Designed to be washable and reusable.

Confirmed

OxidGuard

Purpose: Designed to support photocatalytic oxidation treatment for selected VOCs and chemical pollutants.

Targets: Selected volatile organic compounds and chemical pollutants.

How it works: A photocatalytic process intended to break down selected compounds. Performance and safety claims are presented only with verified test conditions.

Service: Enclosed treatment stage.

Under evaluation

PhotoGuard

Purpose: Designed as an enclosed, light-assisted treatment stage using UV-A 365 nm.

Targets: Bacteria, viruses, germs, and microorganisms.

How it works: PhotoGuard uses an enclosed UV-A 365 nm light-assisted stage to expose microorganisms passing through the treatment pathway. The intended function is to support microorganism inactivation within the enclosed treatment zone. Because this is UV-A rather than germicidal UV-C, any bacteria-, virus-, or germ-related performance must be validated through testing before public performance claims are made.

Service: Designed to be washable.

Prototype stage Subject to testing

Ionization

Purpose: Designed as an optional assistive treatment stage.

Targets: Fine airborne particles, as an assist to the other stages.

How it works: A plasma ionizer assist module. By-products, including any ozone, are part of what testing must confirm before performance or safety claims are made.

Service: Integrated assist module.

Prototype stage Safety under validation

We publish no removal percentages, germicidal claims, or certifications until independent testing supports them. OxidGuard and PhotoGuard claims in particular are stated conservatively and remain subject to controlled testing.

Maintenance and serviceability

Designed to be maintained, not discarded

The snap-fit cartridge is intended to make service simple. OdorGuard and PhotoGuard are designed to be washable, ParticleGuard media is a replaceable consumable, and the Ionization assist is integrated. Owners maintain only what needs maintaining.
